RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE
We understand that our ecosystem and our health are inextricably intertwined. And as a leading healthcare
company in the region, we are taking our response to climate change seriously. Our strategic priority is to
reduce our Green House Gas (GHG) emissions in Bupa Arabia’s operations and its value chain while improving
the understanding of environmental changes that impact human health.
SUSTAINABLE WORKPLACE
We are committed to using natural resources wisely and protecting the environment as much as possible. One
of our most significant efforts in 2021 & 2022 has been the reduction of our water and energy consumption.
We have achieved a 10% reduction in water consumption by implementing effective water management policies. We have introduced effective water-saving strategies in all our offices. Adopting flow regulators in our facilities has reduced water use, boosting sustainable water use practices. As a result, we've saved a large amount of water, lowering our environmental effects.
By changing the operating hours and switching to energy-efficient LED lights in all our facilities, we have saved 15% in our energy consumption across all offices.
Switching to biotechnologically engineered cleaning products in all our offices is another impactful
initiative done in 2022. This major switch of cleaning products helped us to minimize our impact on
the planet and ensure no environmental damage. These items are designed to decompose naturally,
leaving no trace, and are completely biodegradable. This has decreased our carbon footprint, and we
are pleased to state that we are contributing to the fight against climate change.
